We are thrilled to announce the exciting launch of the Women’s Shed at Cranbourne Community House in Victoria! Over the past few weeks, their dedicated members have been hard at work, crafting beautiful creations and fostering a supportive and creative environment within their fully equipped shed.
Since its inception just four weeks ago, the Women’s Shed has quickly become a hub of activity and creativity. From constructing bird boxes to assembling furniture pieces, our members have been actively engaged in a diverse range of projects, each reflecting their unique talents and interests.
Under the guidance of an experienced group leader, members have been honing their woodworking skills and unleashing their creativity. Whether it’s building basic planter boxes from scrap timber or painting intricate bird boxes, each project is a testament to the passion and dedication of the members.
One of the key highlights of the Women’s Shed is the strong sense of community and camaraderie that permeates our space. “We are incredibly fortunate to have a great working relationship with our male counterparts at Cranbourne Men’s Shed, as well as the invaluable support of our experienced female staff member who ensures the safety and well-being of our members,” said one member.
Cranbourne Community House believes in providing a welcoming and inclusive environment where individuals of all backgrounds and skill levels can come together to learn, create, and connect. Their Women’s Shed program is designed to empower participants with transferable woodworking skills while working on both community and individual projects in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
